PC Basics - Meet the
Computer
Class covers the parts of the computer, computer vocabulary, using a mouse,
opening different programs, etc.
No computer experience necessary.
Internet Basics
Hands-on class covers history, characteristics, navigation and simple searching.
Must have basic pc, keyboard, and mouse skills.
E-mail Basics
Hands-on covers obtaining and using a web e-mail account, creating and sending
messages, plus e-mail do's and don'ts.
Must have basic pc, mouse, and Internet Skills.
Beginning Microsoft Word
Hands-on covers creating, editing, saving and printing documents;
formatting text appearance, etc.
Must have basic pc, keyboard, and mouse skills.
Microsoft Word
II
Learn to cut, copy, and paste, insert clip art
& word art, insert a table, save a document, and print a document.
Must have basic word processing
and computer skills.
Microsoft Word III
Learn to change margins, insert auto shapes,
insert pictures, cut & paste from the Internet, etc.
Must have taken Word I & II or have equivalent
computer and word processing skills.
Beginning Microsoft Excel
Hands-on class covers Excel toolbars, rows, columns & cells; navigating Excel;
creating worksheets; using formulas and functions.
Must have skills covered in Beginning Word.
Beginning Powerpoint
Hands-on class covers Powerpoint basics-how to create slides, changing themes,
fonts, inserting clip art, pictures, and transitioning between slides.
Must have skills covered in Beginning Word.
Typing Resumes and Letters
Covers the basics of setting up a letter and setting up a
resume-using bulleted lists, spacing, different types of resumes, etc.
Must have basic typing skills.
